About Me

My name is Lauren Byrne and I want to welcome you to Heart Works Counselling Services, specializing in individual and couples counselling.  My private practice is located downtown in the heart of Okotoks, AB. I strive to offer a calm, collaborative, and empowering environment for our work together. I work with clients dealing with multiple concerns including depression, anxiety, stress, PTSD/trauma and relationship issues, just to name a few. I believe in using a client-centred approach, which means I believe each individual is the expert on their own life. I work with clients to empower and help them find the best path to healing and growth in their lives.

 

Born and raised in Saskatoon, SK, I completed my undergraduate degree at the University of Saskatchewan. After moving to Alberta in 2008, furthering my education I earned my Masters Degree in Counselling Psychology from Athabasca University. I am passionate about helping facilitate a deeper understanding of one’s self and relationships to empower people to make positive changes in their lives.
